Botanic Gardens – Part 2

Way to go Singapore, no haze for a couple of days :).

Yesterday and today I was supposed to study, but I skipped the studies, and didn’t even feel bad about it. I got so excited about the beautiful, haze-free weather of ours. On days like these you should go out because that’s what Singapore is about, outdoors living. There are bunch of gardens I want to visit, but I decided to revisit Botanic Gardens. I think I saw best parts of the garden on my last visit with my mother.  The whole garden is so beautiful so this was definitely worth of the revisit. Next time I will go there for a morning run…Anyway now I have walked through the entire garden. And again I took some pictures…

Inside the garden remains a piece of the rainforest with some massive trees.

And listen to this. Amazing sounds of nature.

There are many lizards living in the garden. They are ugly and look scary but are harmless.

Botanic Gardens

This is one busy week for me as my parents are visiting us from Finland. They’ve been here already for four days and we’ve visited many places. Most of them are new to me as well so it’s been nice to explore together with my parents.

Our first destination was the Botanic Gardens. The garden is huge, so peaceful and beautiful. I absolutely love this garden. I definitely must go there for a run also. This time we only saw a small part of the garden, so revisit is a must! Inside the Botanic Gardens is an Orchid garden which is pretty amazing too. There were so many blooming flowers, I just couldn’t stop taking pictures…

Puiston sisällä oleva orkideapuisto paistatteli upeassa kukkaloistossa. Sisäänpääsy Botanic Gardensiin on ilmainen, Orkideapuiston sisäänpääsy on S$5, eläkeläisiltä S$1 ja alle 12-vuotiaat lapset pääsevät sisään ilmaiseksi.

Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful. ~Jim Carrey

A flower’s appeal is in its contradictions — so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect. ~Terri Guillemets
